Before learning how to use microdermabrasion tools at home, it’s important to fully understand how this treatment works and what are the benefits it brings to your skin. The treatment can be done in two ways: In a doctor's office, through dermatological devices, or at home by the patients themselves. Home kits are great for people who make the microdermabrasion procedure in a clinic and want to extend the time between sessions if they want tosave money.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a beauty treatment that improves a patient's skin tone and texture by removing a layer of dead skin cells. The exfoliation process occurs when particles are sprayed on or an abrasive is used to sand down an outer layer of skin. The process is more targeted and comprehensive than the exfoliation through masks that you can buy in stores.

There are 2 kinds of this skin treatment at a clinic:

Crystal Peeling, with the spraying of aluminum oxide crystals on the skin, removing its most superficial layer. Then, vacuum aspiration is performed, which removes all waste, such as dead cells, from the surface of the skin and stimulates collagen production.

Diamond Peeling, deep exfoliation of the skin is done, being efficient for removing stains and fighting wrinkles. It is a newer procedure that is gaining popularity. Instead of spraying particles onto the patient's skin, a diamond-tipped pen is scraped along the skin's surface like sandpaper.

Microdermabrasion at Home

This skin procedure can help address a variety of problems that lie on the surface of the skin, including sun damage, fine lines, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, age spots, acne, andsuperficial scars. While the face is the most common treatment site, any area of the skin can undergo microdermabrasion.

TheMicrodermabrasion Kit at home combines a 2 stage process into onequick treatment for clearer and healthier skin:

Detox and Exfoliates your skin

The microdermabrasion kit is equipped with a Microcrystalline tip which polishes away and deeply cleanses your skin whilst the perfectly tuned vacuum unclogs your pores and removes toxins from your skin.

Revitalise & Brighten your face

The vacuum suction increases blood flow triggering natural collagen production and stimulates new cell growth. Collagen is the essential protein which provides elasticity to the skin, helping it to appear more youthful and healthy.

Is Microdermabrasion For You?

Our skincare handset is suitable for all skin types and tones, including those that may not be suitable for other procedures, such as dermabrasion. That said, it's not effective for deeper skin issues like scars, stretch marks, or deep acne scars. If you’re using chemical peels or products containing hydroxy acids, malic acid, lactic acid retinoids you need to wait at least 7 days before using your handset. It is not recommended to be used on inflamed or irritated skin.

By removing dead skin cells on the skin's surface, patients can expect beauty products to penetrate50% more efficiently and perform a smoother makeup application.

Microdermabrasion can be helpful for patients of various ages, but the best results are often seen between ages 35 and 50, when the skin is in the early stages of aging.

The handset can be used on all parts of your face, neck and body but there are some parts we recommend to avoid sensitive areas such as around your eyes.

How to make this skin treatment at home

The Microdermabrasion Kit is designed to besuper easy and convenient to use.

  1. Start with clean dry skin.

Before starting any skin treatment, your face must be clean to receive the next skincare products/tools. Use the ideal soap for your type of skin and after that dry it.

  1. Steam your face before microdermabrasion

Have a seat, drape your towel over your head and the pot, and hold your face 6 inches above the water. Raise or lower your head for more or less heat and lift a corner of the towel to cool off if needed. Steam for 10 minutes, then dry.

  1. Pull your skin to start using the tool

Pull skin tight to help the device glide smoothly, so it can reach all of the spots on your face.

  1. Start soft movements

Move the device across the skin in an upward motion.

  1. Once finished, follow with your favorite moisturizer.

The most common side effects after the procedure are redness, tenderness, and mild effects. These symptoms go away after hours, you can usually stick to the recommendation to use a moisturizer for hydrated skin.

  1. Relax and enjoy a smoother, healthier glow.

There should be no downtime after treatment, but protecting the skin with sunscreen is crucial as it will be especially sensitive to the sun in the first few weeks after treatment.

After the treatment it’s important to moisturize your skin enough andavoid solar radiation for the first five days after the procedure. In addition, it is also important to stop using acids during this period, if they are part of your skin routine.

“Unexpected great results!

Ordered this a while ago but only started using it properly recently. Honestly shocked at the incredible results. My face is less patchy and saggy where the dead cells were the worst. I had red lines on face the next day from it, but most likely because I did the same area too much. Learn my lesson! Recommended product! Wonderful stuff”

“Works for me!

My skin has never felt so breathable, smooth and refreshed. I’m starting to see fine lines disappearing and my skin tone is evening out! I’ve had horrible acne scars since I was a teen and there beginning to go away!! The other thing I was not expecting at all was for my pores to get smaller!! They look amazing! I can’t wait to continue using it and keep posting updates.”
